A large fast-growing evergreen fig tree native to eastern Australia ā it can reach 60m in height.
Has large attractive leaves, buttressed roots, and masses of purple figs in spring-summer. Whilst the figs are edible, they are not commonly consumed today as they contain a large number of seeds.
Whilst this tree will grow very large when planted in the ground, it also does well in a large pot – both outdoors and indoors in brightly lit spaces. Can also be used for bonsai.
Frost sensitive when young.
Current height approximately 1.2m above PB8 planter bag.
