Tītoki (Alectryon excelsus).

A NZ endemic tree growing to a maximum height of about 18m.

An attractive tree with glossy dark green leaves and a spreading canopy – black seeds produced on bright red fruit in late summer.

Fantastic for restoration planting and as a specimen or street tree.

Attractive to bees, butterflies and birds

Current height approx 50cm-60cm above PB3 planter bag.

These plants are grown locally in Ngāmotu New Plymouth and have been donated to Heritage Taranaki to help support our mission of conserving our region’s unique heritage.
