Description

Pin Oak (Quercus palustris).

Large deciduous tree up to 18-22m tall at maturity.

A native of the central and eastern United States, this attractive pyramidal shaped oak has drooping branches and deeply lobed leaves.

Dark green leaves turn a fantastic bronze and red during autumn.

Fantastic as a specimen tree or for avenue plantings.

Current height approx 1m+ above PB8 planter bag.

As these are deciduous trees they may be without leaves during late-autumn through to winter months.

These plants are grown locally in Ngāmotu New Plymouth and have been donated to Heritage Taranaki to help support our mission of conserving our region’s unique heritage.
