Description
Tulip Tree (Liriodendron tulipifera).
An attractive shade, ornamental or timber tree, forming a tall pyramidal crown. A deciduous tree with large bright-green leaves, turning yellow in autumn – tulip trees produce good autumn colour even in milder climates.
Yellow-green, tulip-like flowers are produced in spring at the branch tips.
Native to the eastern USA, Tulip Trees tree may grow up to a height of 60m.
Current height approx 1.2m+ above PB8 planter bag.
As these are deciduous trees they may be without leaves during late-autumn through to winter months.
These plants are grown locally in Ngāmotu New Plymouth and have been donated to Heritage Taranaki to help support our mission of conserving our region’s unique heritage.
All proceeds from the sale of this product, minus any transaction fees, goes towards supporting our heritage advocacy work.
