Description

Aotearoa New Zealand native Wiwi/knobby club rush (Ficinia nodosa).

Attractive native sedge, ideal for dune restoration, coastal wetland margins, and general coastal landscaping.

Deep green colour when grown with good moisture, or attractive bronze colour when grown in dry conditions.

Mature height to between about 70-100cm.

Brown seed pods add interest during mid-late summer.

Fast Growing.

Current height approx 0.2-0.3m above PB3/4 planter bag.

These plants are grown locally in Ngāmotu New Plymouth and have been donated to Heritage Taranaki to help support our mission of conserving our region’s unique heritage.
